Ch-ch-ch-ch-Changes//Journal

I feel like I do a post like this every couple of months but here we are again. I’m making some changes. Basically, I get quite a lot of music sent to me and I’m not telling you this to brag but because I have no idea how to fit it all on here before it’s out of date. There’s a lot I want to show you, a lot of musicians, a lot of artists, a lot of comics and I feel like I can’t do it at the rate I post. I do post a lot though so I don’t really want to make it more often or you’ll get sick of me. Y’see?

I was never the most organised person and running my own website has always been a little tough for me. Especially when I want there to be a divide of 50% music, 50% everything else. SO from now on, I will show you some videos as and when I see them as I don’t really want to write full reviews of singles but apart from that, I’m going to have two posts a week that will have a few reviews on them at once. I always prefer these types anyway, especially with books and music because you can note down who/what sounds interesting and have fun exploring them for yourself! I’m going to do one on Sundays, one on Mondays. I’m doing this because I review a range of music and I don’t want to be mixing acoustic acts with heavier ones.

So, starting tomorrow, I will be starting a feature called Serene Sundays which is going to be reviews and introductions to the more mellow, less heavy music I want to promote. I thought it’d be a great way to wind down from the week and a perfect accompaniment to lazy Sundays. Then, on Mondays, I’ll have Kick Start Your Week which is definitely not a unique name but it is the intention. The heavier, more kick-ass music to start and get you through the week. I realise sometimes artists will be somewhere in between and sometimes the Monday music won’t always be very heavy but I’ll try to stick to these as much as possible.

Live reviews will basically still be random because I think it’s better to read about a gig not long after it’s happened and it is so much better to write about shows when you’re still on a high from them. I Wrote This For You will always be on Wednesdays and personal posts will be random, too because they’re pretty much never planned and always written as and when they come to me. Hopefully this will be the last post telling you about changes for a while. I’m getting a little tired of them, too.

    1. I thought I’d get accused of that but it’s really not! I’m just inundated and feeling a bit guilty for not being able to post them all!
